Our Fleet
Robinson RH22 – Or “Robbie 22” as it is affectionately known, is the baby of our fleet. Typically used for training purposes, this small but mighty, helicopter is best suited for introductory flights (a superb birthday gift), aerial photographers or anyone wanting the most economical flight possible. Seats 1 + Pilot. Cost Per Hour.
Robinson RH44 – The workhorse of our fleet. This versatile helicopter strikes a perfect balance between economy, comfort and performance. Suitable for all flights. Seats 3 + Pilot.
The Bell Jet Ranger 206 – This instantly recognisable helicopter is a design classic and one of the safest helicopters ever built. Its powerful turbine engine makes the most magnificent sound starting up. The 206 is best suited for parties of 4 and those looking to make a stylish entrance. Seats
The Aerospatical AS350 Squirrel. The grand daddy of our fleet. This magnificent machine is the Rolls Royce of helicopters. Powerful, roomy and fast, the AS350 is best suited for VIP transport and larger groups. Seats 5 plus pilot.
Coming Soon – The Enstrom 280FX. Featuring the roomiest cockpit in its class, this mid size helicopter is the perfect choice for couples. The 280FX provides THE best value for money out there. You now have no excuses to go on that flight you always dreamed off. Seats 2 + pilot.
Costings And Quotes
As we encourage our customers to personalise their flights and offer such a wide variety of services, Vertical Thrills work on an individual quotation basis.
Please bare in mind the following
The costs indicated are per flight hour.
The actual cost of your helicopter ride will depend on the machine you select and the length of time you are in the air. If your round trip to a restaurant takes 4 hours and the machine is airborne for 50 minutes – you are charged for 50 minutes only.
The cost is the same if one person goes or if all the seats are occupied.
There is a small standing fee, if the pilot has to wait around more than 2.5 hours.
The cost of your picnic hamper will depend on the contents.
Our quotes do not include the costs of third party activities such as restaurants, outdoor pursuits, game drives etc
You may tip the pilot at your own discretion
